Rules
Backgammon consists of a board - a field, divided into two identical parts, drawn with 24 alternating triangles of two contrasting colors (usually light and dark)
To make moves 2 cubes (dice) with dots from 1 to 6 are thrown, like on dominoes. The moves are made with chips (checkers). Checkers in the game 30 pieces, 15 pieces per player, black and white.
The aim of the game: the opponents must chase all the checkers of their color across the playing field and return to their half of the board to remove them from the board. Whoever removes all the checkers first wins.
In short backgammon checkers are placed in the following order: 2 pieces on 24 spades, 5 pieces on 13 and 6 points, 3 pieces on 8. - on 8. In long backgammon all 15 pieces are placed on one cell.
Strategy
The strategy of the initial opening of checkers can significantly affect the further development of the game. Choose tactics that will maximize control over the playing field and prevent your opponent's moves.
Try to hold central positions on the board, as this will allow you to control the game and limit your opponent's moves.
Use a strategy of blocking your opponent's checkers and attacking with your opponent's weaknesses in mind. A variety of tactics can lead to a successful game.
Keep your checkers safe in your home zone and actively try to force your opponent's checkers out of your territory.
