Game description
Hearts - Classic card game for 4 players. In the online version you play against 3 virtual opponents.
Basic rules of the game
Immediately after being dealt, players exchange cards and then take turns discarding them. The player who will have the highest card of the original suit takes all the cards and gets points for them. Be careful with the queen of spades - the player who takes it immediately gets 13 points.
Detailed rules
After the deck of cards has been dealt between players, each player chooses three cards and passes them face down to another player. All players must pass their cards before looking at the cards received from their opponent.
The cards are passed in the following pattern: 1. to the player on your left, 2. to the player on your right, 3. to the player across the table, and 4. no passing. This sequence is repeated until the end of the game.
The player who has two clubs (after being dealt) lays out one of them to start the first round. Each player should, if possible, be on the same suit. If a player has no cards of the clubs suit, he may discard a card of any other suit. The exception is if a player has no clubs on the first round, then the player may not play the queen of spades.
The card that is the highest suit becomes the winner of the round (there are no trumps in this game). The winner takes all the cards and starts the next round. Red cards (hearts) cannot be taken until the silver or queen of spades cards are played (this is called "breaking hearts"). The queen of spades may be taken at any time.
At the end of each round, it is counted how many hearts cards were taken from each player; 1 point is given for each hearts suit. The queen of spades brings 13 points. If a player has taken all 13 hearts and the queen of spades, he may subtract 26 points from his own score or add 26 points to the score of every other player.
Play continues until 100 points, at which point the game ends. The player with the lowest score wins.
